CHILIE
INTI
Chilean muralist based in Barcelona. He began painting on the streets of Valparaíso in 1997 and today, established as a leading figure in his continent's urban art scene, his mural work can be found in many cities around the world.
His work was initially influenced by graffiti and Latin American muralism, subsequently incorporating elements of classical European art over time. As a natural result of this blend, Inti strongly embraces Latin American cultural syncretism as an aesthetic manifesto and an example of coexistence in diversity. Convinced that art in public spaces must not only denounce but also propose a world to inhabit, he makes syncretism his own personal utopia. For Inti, inhabiting that world means accepting that beauty does not lie in the endogamous purity of a single lineage, but rather emerges from the contrasts and scars that compose us. From this perspective, the carnival stands as the ultimate expression of coexistence, a place where the sacred and the pagan meet face to face to celebrate their differences
