SETH

A pioneering artist of urban art, Seth has been traveling the world for more than twenty years to make frescoes in collaboration with the local populations. From Hawaii to Haiti, from Madagascar to the Ukrainian Donbass, from China to the Palestinian camps, his works invest public space as invitations to dialogue and to escape. Born in Paris in 1972, graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts décoratifs, Seth began to express himself on the walls of his city in the mid-1990s.

From the 2000s, he traveled the world to exchange with artists from different cultures. During his explorations, he developed a recognizable painting by working on the theme of childhood. His conviction: public space is the ideal place to invite questions, to dream, to go and see the other side. Seth draws children whose innocence often contrasts with the harshness of their environment. We rarely see their faces, so that we can project our own share of intimacy on them. His vortexes are all open doors to imaginary worlds.

His characters take us on a journey where resilience, play and imagination coincide to offer a poetic escape.
